Overview

The DRV8462EVM evaluation module showcases the features and performance of the DRV8462DDWR.

The DRV8462 is a fully integrated stepper motor driver for industrial applications. The device operates over a 4.5-V to 65-V supply range and is capable of driving up to 5-A full scale current.

Features
  • Integrated current sensing with external sense resistor option
  • Silent step, smart tune and low-noise decay modes
  • Automatic microstepping and custom microstepping table with STEP/DIR with SPI option and up to 1/256 microstepping
  • Stall detection to detect end of travel
  • Auto torque to modify output current based on load demand
  • Fully protected: UVLO, OCP, TSD, Open Load, nFAULT pin
