The TSW1406EVM is a low cost pattern generator circuit board used to evaluate some of Texas Instruments’ (TI) most popular high speed digital-to-analog converters (DAC).
The TSW1406EVM supports a high speed LVDS bus capable of receiving 16-bit samples at 1.0 GSPS. The platform supports a 64k sample depth with the ability to collect data on up to eight channels simultaneously.
The TSW1406EVM replaces the TSW3100EVM in a smaller size and significantly reduced cost. Additionally, the TSW1406EVM features a high speed LatticeECP3 FPGA from Lattice Semiconductor. The TSW1406EVM utilizes an intuitive/easy-to-use GUIsoftware package. This software is compatible with the entire TSW1400 family, making for an easy transition across different toolsets. For easy setup and operation, the TSW1406EVM needs only one cable running to the PC. It draws power and transmits data over its mini-USB connection.
